Physiotherapists And Doctors Services

This section is designed to help Parents, Physiotherapists and Doctors in the treatment and management of some common Gymnastics injuries.

The guidelines within this resource are supposed to help guide parents into what to expect as treatment for an injury and to help physicians by giving them some Gymnastics specific treatment options. In cases of injury a physician should always be consulted.

Below the Database is broken down into specific body areas and then types of injury.

The reporting form is a tool for Gymnasts to record day to day
- What hurts?
- Where it hurts?
- How long has it hurt for?
- Hurts doing what skills?

This form can be completed over time and taken to the practitioner and may help them diagnose and then manage the injury rather than the "felt a bit better the other day" approach.
