QLD STATE TEAM AEROBICS 2017

Below is the information for the upcoming State Team Training Sessions.

Level 3 to Level 5 Athletes

When:     Sunday 27 August 2017
Where:    Tallebudgera State School Hall
                492 Guineas Creek Road, Tallebudgera 4227
Time:       9.00am to 12.30pm  (Athletes are asked to arrive at venue by 8.50am)
State Team Training is compulsory – You MUST attend to be eligible to compete at the Australian Championships
 
WHAT TO WEAR
  • Athletes are to wear Gymnastics Queensland GK Training Leotard and appropriate training shoes. Hair must be pulled back off the face in a competition bun.
  • State Team Tracksuit to be worn if you have already received 
WHAT TO BRING
  • Pen and paper to record notes at State Team Meeting 
  • 1 x copies of Difficulty Documentation (Level 5 athletes only)
  • Plenty of water and a small snack
STATE TEAM TRAINING SCHEDULE
9.00am - State Team Meeting - Parents & Athletes
9.40am - Warm up
10.00am to 12.30pm - Training session:
  • Competition preparation and expectations
  • Skills and skill choices - How to increase your score (what the judges will be looking for)
  • Compulsories 
  • Artistry
Level 6, 7, INTERNATIONAL & AERODANCE ATHLETES
When:     Saturday 2nd September 2017
Where:    Camp Hill State Primary School – School Hall
                 676 Old Cleveland Road Camp Hill 4152 (Hall is located on Ferguson Rd side of school)
Time:       12.30pm to 4.00pm  (Athletes are asked to arrive at venue by 12.20pm)
 
State Team Workshop & Meeting is compulsory – You MUST attend to be eligible to compete at the Australian Championships

WHAT TO WEAR
  • Athletes are to wear Gymnastics Queensland GK Training Leotard and appropriate training shoes. Hair must be pulled back off the face in a competition bun.

WHAT TO BRING
  • Pen and paper to record notes at State Team Meeting 
  • 2 x copies of Difficulty Documentation – 1 x copy for judge use at State Team Training and 1 x copy to hand in to Head Coach.
  • 1 x backup copy of Nationals music on CD to hand in to Head Coach – please clearly write athlete name, level, division & music name on CD. Always good to have a backup of your music just in case something doesn't go right on competition day.
  • Plenty of water and a small snack
STATE TEAM TRAINING SCHEDULE
12.30pm - State Team Meeting - Parents & Athletes
1.10pm - Athletes Warm up
1.30pm to 4.00pm - Athletes will be performing their routines in front of a panel of judges and will receive written feedback on their performance.

Athletes are to inform the Head Coach in writing before State Team Training if they have any injuries.
